About the role#
The Summer 2027 Applied Gen AI/Data Scientist Graduate Internship is an opportunity to contribute to Artificial Intelligence research and development within the healthcare sector. You will join the AI Services and Platforms team to work on projects involving Generative AI, Large Language Models, and AI agents. This role focuses on applying these technologies to improve clinical workflows, member engagement, and enterprise productivity.
What you'll do#
- Develop and prototype GenAI-powered applications.
- Evaluate and optimize the output of Large Language Models.
- Research advanced AI techniques and design healthcare-focused use cases.
- Conduct experiments and document findings to support project goals.
- Collaborate with engineering and analytics teams on solution delivery.
- Present your recommendations and demonstrations to both business and technical audiences.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree.
- Current enrollment in a graduate program (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Ability to work in the U.S. independently, as visa sponsorship is not provided for this position.
