About the role#
As a Studio Artist Intern, you will see how creative ideas become polished, real-world work. You will partner with Studio Artists and Art Directors to bring projects across the finish line for a diverse mix of brands. This role involves active participation in the production process, from early comps to final print and digital execution.
What you'll do#
- Partner with Studio Artists and Art Directors to produce and finalize creative work across print and digital channels.
- Prepare, revise, and organize design files for production.
- Build and update layouts based on established creative concepts and brand guidelines.
- Incorporate feedback while maintaining consistency across deliverables.
- Ensure final work is accurate and ready for release.
- Learn agency production processes including file preparation, quality control, and print pre-press.
- Support projects from initial comp through final execution.
- Balance multiple projects and priorities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a graphic design, visual communication, or related program.
- Foundational understanding of graphic design principles, typography, layout, and color.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- A portfolio showing design skills, thinking, and creative potential.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized.
- A willingness to ask questions and receive feedback.
Location & details#
- Location: Madison, Wisconsin.
- Modality: Hybrid, with in-office days on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
- Term: Fall 2026 (September through December), with potential to extend.
- Compensation: $15 per hour.
- Hours: 20-25 hours per week, with flexibility for class schedules.
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
