About the role#
The Networking (Power) Intern joins the Power Systems Development group. You will apply Electrical Engineering principles to develop practical power solutions for Juniper products, including Front End and Board Mount Power technologies. This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Sunnyvale, California.
What you'll do#
- Support senior team members on assigned technical projects.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, providing support and suggesting solutions.
- Assist with maintaining and updating hardware, software, and other technical systems.
- Participate in team meetings, learn project methodologies, and collaborate with colleagues.
- Actively engage in learning new technologies and methodologies.
- Participate in periodic reviews to share updates and incorporate feedback.
- Perform tasks assigned by a supervisor in a timely and efficient manner.
- Depending on your interests and capabilities, you may work on schematic capture, PCB design tools, microcontroller programming with C, Python scripting, lab testing of power supplies, or LTSpice circuit development.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Electronics or a related technical field.
- Basic programming or scripting knowledge in languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Familiarity with technical tools relevant to the role.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work toward strict deadlines.
- A collaborative, solution-focused mindset and a sense of urgency.
- A strong interest in high-tech and a passion for learning.
