About the role#
This internship focuses on supporting hardware design environments, EDA tools, and related libraries. You will work as part of the hardware tools team to support the design process from concept to completion. This is a hands-on position requiring work in both Linux and PC environments.
What you'll do#
- Develop or update scripts to monitor the status and health of the design environment and servers.
- Help debug and identify root causes for issues with CAD design tools, configuration files, and network requirements.
- Interact with the IT team to resolve user issues regarding logins, machine access, and network connectivity.
- Download and install complex design tools, create setup files, and perform initial testing.
- Write and document scripts to automate engineering design flows and improve daily task efficiency.
- Monitor library replication from the central site to remote design centers and fix related setup issues.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- Coursework in programming and scripting.
- Experience with Python, Tcl, Unix Shell, or other scripting languages.
- Working knowledge of and comfort with the Linux environment.
- Familiarity with ASIC or PCB hardware design processes.
- An analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- A desire to learn and investigate new areas of interest.

- Compensation: The hourly pay range for this position in California is 35.00 to 41.00 USD.
