About the role#
As a Hardware Engineering Intern, you will join our team to support technical projects and contribute to the product development cycle. This position is based on-site, providing you with the opportunity to work directly in the lab alongside experienced engineers. You will engage with new technologies, troubleshoot technical issues, and participate in project reviews to share updates and receive feedback.
What you'll do#
- Support senior team members on assigned technical projects.
- Provide hands-on lab support for hardware quality initiatives and suggest solutions.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.
- Interface with cross-functional teams throughout the product development cycle.
- Fulfill assigned tasks efficiently and participate in periodic project reviews.
- Engage in continuous learning regarding new technologies and methodologies.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- Proficiency in electrical circuit design, schematic design, and schematic capture tools.
- Knowledge of hardware design, including digital logic, CPU subsystems, clocks, signal integrity, power delivery, and analog components.
- Experience with board design layout and multi-layer board considerations.
- Hands-on experience testing L2/L3 products with Ethernet packet generators.
- Understanding of PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, and high-speed SerDes at the hardware level.
- Familiarity with Ethernet routing, switching, FPGAs, and Verilog.
- Capability to script using Python and comfort working in a Unix/Linux environment.
- Demonstrated team project experience outside of coursework.
- Strong debugging skills and a self-motivated approach to solving technical problems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
