About the role#
Join our ASIC team as an intern to gain hands-on experience in semiconductor development. You will work closely with senior engineers in one of three specialized areas: ASIC Design, ASIC Verification, or ASIC Tools and Methodologies. This role allows you to focus on your specific interests and skills within the semiconductor lifecycle.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot technical issues and share progress in team meetings.
- Engage in learning new technologies and best practices relevant to your focus area.
- Complete assigned tasks and incorporate feedback.
Depending on your chosen area, you may:
- ASIC Design: Participate in architecture investigations, create functional and micro-architectural specifications, assist in RTL design using SystemVerilog, and support synthesis, linting, and design reviews.
- ASIC Verification: Develop and maintain testbenches using SystemVerilog and UVM, write test plans and assertions, create functional coverage models, debug simulation failures, and participate in emulation for pre-silicon validation.
- Tools & Methodologies: Contribute to automation to accelerate development, develop productivity utilities, work with EDA tools for physical design, and support Design-for-Test (DFT) methodology development.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Coursework in Digital Logic Design, Computer Architecture, or VLSI Design.
- Exposure to SystemVerilog and UVM, plus basic knowledge of Python, C++, or similar languages.
- Understanding of ASIC design flow, verification methodologies, and EDA tools for physical design.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with ASIC concepts through academic projects or internships is a plus.
- Knowledge of networking protocols, machine learning, or advanced computer architecture is helpful.
