About the role#
As an Engineering Intern at HRG, you will gain hands-on experience by supporting real-world projects within a dedicated service group. This role provides exposure to the engineering field and helps you develop foundational skills for your career. You will work alongside experienced team members on projects involving municipal and water resources, site design, or transportation.
What you'll do#
- Assist with design and development tasks under supervision.
- Gather and organize project data, including code requirements and industry standards.
- Support data collection, field inspections, and the preparation of technical documentation.
- Use standard office and engineering software to support project activities.
- Ensure accuracy and quality in all assigned tasks.
- Suggest ideas to improve project efficiency and organization.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in engineering or a related field.
- No prior professional experience is required, though previous internships or coursework are a plus.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with an attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, virtual meeting tools, and project management systems.
- Flexibility to travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices as needed, which may include overnight stays.
- A valid US Driver’s License.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
