About the role#
As an Engineering Intern at HRG, you will gain hands-on experience supporting real-world projects. You will work closely with experienced team members to learn about engineering practices in areas such as municipal and water resources, site design, water and wastewater, or transportation. This role is designed to help you develop foundational skills for your future career.
What you'll do#
- Assist with basic tasks in the design and development of engineering projects under supervision.
- Gather and organize project data, including code requirements and industry standards.
- Support data collection, field inspections, and the preparation of technical documentation.
- Use standard office and engineering software to support daily project activities.
- Ensure accuracy and quality in all assigned tasks.
- Suggest ideas to improve project efficiency and organization.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in engineering or a related field.
- No prior professional experience is required, though previous internship or coursework is a plus.
- A demonstrated willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with an attention to detail.
- A commitment to quality and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with team members.
- Proficiency with common business platforms like Microsoft Office Suite, virtual meeting tools, and project management systems.
- Flexibility to travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices as necessary, which may include overnight stays.
- A valid US Driver’s License.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
