About the role#
As an Engineering Intern at HRG, you will gain hands-on experience by supporting real-world projects within a dedicated service group. You will work alongside experienced team members to learn about engineering practices in areas such as municipal and water resources, site design, water and wastewater, or transportation. This role is designed to help you build foundational skills for your future career.
What you'll do#
- Assist with basic design and development tasks under supervision.
- Gather and organize project data, including code requirements and industry standards.
- Support data collection, field inspections, and the preparation of technical documentation.
- Use standard office and engineering software to support project activities.
- Ensure accuracy and quality in your assigned tasks.
- Suggest ideas to improve project efficiency and organization.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- No prior professional experience is required, though previous coursework or internships are a plus.
- A willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with an eye for detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate professionally.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, virtual meeting tools, and project management systems.
- A valid US Driver’s License.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Flexibility to travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices as necessary.

- Status: This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
