About the role#
As an Engineering Intern at HRG, you will gain hands-on experience supporting real-world projects within a dedicated service group. This role provides exposure to the engineering field, fosters professional growth, and helps you develop foundational skills. You will work closely with experienced team members on projects involving municipal and water resources, site design, water and wastewater, or transportation.
What you'll do#
- Assist with basic tasks in the design and development of engineering projects under supervision.
- Gather and organize project data, including code requirements and industry standards.
- Support data collection, field inspections, and the preparation of technical documentation.
- Use standard office and engineering software to support project activities.
- Ensure accuracy and quality in all assigned tasks.
- Suggest ideas to improve project efficiency and organization.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members.
- Effective use of Microsoft Office Suite, virtual meeting tools, and project management systems.
- Flexibility to travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices as necessary, which may include overnight stays.
- Valid US Driver’s License.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
