About the role#
Henkel is hiring a Product Development Intern for the Adhesive Technologies business unit. You will work on projects related to the Automotive OEM market. This position is a paid, full-time internship based in Madison Heights, Michigan. It is an on-site role available for the Winter and Summer 2027 terms, running from January 11th to August 13th.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop products for the Automotive OEM market.
- Run laboratory experiments and pilot-scale processes to test new raw materials and formulations.
- Apply industrial chemistry techniques to support product development and optimization.
- Operate and maintain scientific instruments for testing and analysis.
- Document experimental results and contribute to technical reports and presentations.
- Learn and apply new chemical processes and technologies.
What you'll need#
- Current sophomore or junior status pursuing a degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- Proficiency in basic laboratory practices, safety protocols, and handling chemical substances.
- Ability to gather, interpret, and analyze large data sets.
- Familiarity with scientific instruments used in chemical analysis and product testing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience troubleshooting experiments and proposing data-driven improvements.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams.

- Compensation: $22-27 per hour.
