About the role#
The Engineering Intern role provides hands-on experience in building systems design, drafting, and project coordination. You will work under the guidance of experienced engineers to solve basic engineering problems and prepare technical project documents. This is a full-time, paid internship running from May 24, 2027, to August 6, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with basic engineering calculations and building systems design.
- Prepare system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics.
- Produce construction documents and supporting project documentation.
- Maintain and expand proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam Revu.
- Participate in internship meetings, training programs, and company-sponsored activities.
- Coordinate project information with other disciplines and assist in the preparation of reports.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field from an ABET-accredited university.
- Coursework in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, or other Computer-Aided Drafting software.
- Previous internship experience.
- Drafting certification.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
