    About the role#

    Heidelberg Materials is hiring a Mechanical Engineer Intern for our cement plant operations in Harleyville, South Carolina. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role. You will work directly with our engineering and maintenance teams on projects that support plant reliability and performance.

    What you'll do#

    • Support mechanical maintenance and reliability improvement projects.
    • Analyze equipment performance data to find ways to increase efficiency, uptime, and safety.
    • Work with plant teams to troubleshoot mechanical systems and solve operational issues.
    • Assist with project planning, equipment inspections, and the creation of maintenance documentation.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on plant performance and sustainability.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
    • Ability to analyze technical problems and build practical solutions.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn specific maintenance and engineering systems.
    • A commitment to safety and high-quality work in a manufacturing setting.

    • Location: Harleyville, South Carolina.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Employment: Full-time.
    • Compensation: $23-$27 per hour.
