About the role#
This internship is a 10 to 12 week development program for students to learn the hospitality industry. You will immerse yourself in the Housekeeping department by shadowing leaders, attending operational meetings, and working with the team that manages day-to-day hotel success. The goal is to build a foundation for a career in hospitality.
What you'll do#
- Shadow leaders and staff across every shift and position within the Housekeeping department.
- Attend department and leadership meetings.
- Operate the Property Management System and other department software.
- Use labor management tools to schedule and control costs.
- Interact with customers to resolve issues and maintain service quality.
- Ensure the department follows Room Standard Operating Procedures and policies.
What you'll need#
- You are a recent or current graduate of a hospitality program.
- You have effective verbal and written communication skills.
- You can push or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
- You can manage interactions with customers, including those requiring patience and conflict resolution.
