About the role#
Purvis Industries is looking for interns to join our team. This program provides hands-on experience in industrial distribution. You will learn about customer service, inventory management, warehouse operations, and sales support. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Interact with customers in person, by phone, and through email.
- Assist with receiving, inspecting, and stocking incoming freight.
- Pull, stage, package, and ship customer orders.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory management.
- Support warehouse operations and maintain an organized work environment.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or Logistics.
- Previous experience in plant maintenance, manufacturing, or warehouse operations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move products and materials.
