About the role#
This internship is a 10 to 12 week development program for students to learn about the food and beverage industry. You will work on-site at the hotel, shadowing leaders and team members to understand the day-to-day operations of the department. This position is full-time and paid.
What you'll do#
- Shadow department leaders and staff across every shift and position in your assigned outlet.
- Attend department and leadership meetings to learn about operational decision-making.
- Learn to operate the property management system and other food and beverage software.
- Use labor management tools to help schedule staff and control costs.
- Interact with guests to ensure satisfaction and resolve issues.
- Follow company standard operating procedures and policies.
What you'll need#
- You are a recent graduate or current student in a hospitality program.
- You can communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and guests in both verbal and written formats.
- You are able to stand for long periods of time.
- You can use point of service computer systems.
- You have the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with others.
