About the role#
As a Supply Chain Intern, you will learn how the Plant Warehouse and Distribution Center functions. You will explore supply chain processes and the structures used to ensure on-time delivery to customers. This role involves participating in projects to improve operational efficiency and gaining experience in logistics, distribution, and manufacturing support.
What you'll do#
- Follow food safety and security guidelines, including Safe Quality Foods (SQF) practices and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points.
- Assist in coordinating employees working in manufacturing production support, distribution, and logistics.
- Create training resources by researching and working with subject matter experts.
- Help motivate teams to solve daily issues and reach goals through meetings and communication.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- High attention to detail and a self-starter mindset.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks like walking, standing, reaching, and climbing.
- Ability to work extended hours, including occasional weekends and daily overtime.
