About the role#
Heartland Food Products Group is hiring an intern to work at our Indianapolis manufacturing plant and distribution center. This is a full-time, on-site role that offers exposure to several areas of our business including sales, engineering, quality, production, and research.
What you'll do#
You will research key business functions and support our teams in their daily operations. You will sit in on meetings with clients and consultants, assist with communication initiatives, and learn how our production side functions. This position requires physical activity, such as walking through the plant, and you must be able to lift up to 40 pounds. You may also work extended hours, including occasional weekends.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in engineering, marketing, business, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- High attention to detail and a self-starter mindset.
- Ability to perform physical tasks like climbing, kneeling, and reaching.
