About the role#
WMUR-TV offers a paid internship within the Engineering and Production department. This program provides hands-on experience with broadcast equipment under the supervision of technical staff. The goal is to expose students to daily technical operations in a television station. You will rotate through different departments before focusing on specific areas of interest.
What you'll do#
- Operate production and engineering equipment under direct observation.
- Assist with floor directing, wireless camera operation, prompter use, and editing.
- Support air operations in master control.
- Help with the installation, repair, and upkeep of broadcast systems.
- Train in IT support operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college program.
- Academic focus in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Computer Engineering, or Media Studies.
- Ability to provide a cover letter detailing your objectives, your expected graduation date, and your specific areas of interest.
- Availability to commit to a schedule of up to 24 hours per week.
