WMUR-TV offers a paid internship within the Engineering and Production department. This program provides students with hands-on experience in the daily technical operations of a television station. Interns work under the supervision of permanent technical staff to gain practical training, with the opportunity to focus on specific areas of interest after initial rotations.
What you'll do#
- Operate production and engineering equipment under close supervision.
- Learn production tasks, including floor directing, wireless camera operation, prompter use, and editing.
- Assist with air operations in master control.
- Support the installation, repair, and ongoing maintenance of broadcast systems.
- Receive training in IT support operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student.
- Academic background in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Computer Engineering, or Media Studies.
- Ability to provide a cover letter detailing your internship objectives, current program, expected graduation timeline, available start and end dates, and specific areas of interest.

- Location: Manchester, New Hampshire.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Up to 24 hours per week, based on mutual availability and academic requirements.
