About the role#
This paid internship at WMUR-TV provides students with hands-on experience in broadcast engineering and production. You will work under the supervision of technical staff to learn daily operations within a television station. The program focuses on training across multiple technical departments, allowing you to choose specific areas for additional focus as the internship progresses.
What you'll do#
- Operate production equipment including wireless cameras, prompters, and editing systems.
- Participate in floor directing and master control operations.
- Assist with the installation, repair, and support of broadcast systems.
- Gain exposure to IT tasks related to the broadcasting environment.
- Train on technical equipment under the direct supervision of staff members.
What you'll need#
- You are currently enrolled as a college student in a relevant field such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Media Studies.
- You have a clear interest in the engineering and production sides of television.
- You can commit to working up to 24 hours per week.
