About the role#
WMUR, the ABC affiliate in Manchester, NH, is seeking a Creative Services Intern for the summer of 2026. This role provides an opportunity to understand how a television creative services department operates, focusing on the branding and promotional development of the station.
What you'll do#
- Draft topical copy for WMUR, the nightly newsmagazine show Chronicle, and other special news segments.
- Observe newscasts and editing sessions.
- Gain production experience on promotional and commercial shoots, both in-house and on location.
- Learn the fundamentals of writing and producing effective news topical promotion.
- Explore broadcast and digital marketing strategies.
- Gain an understanding of the station's commitment to the community through PSA production.
- Apply writing and communication skills in a professional broadcast environment.

- Enrollment in a degree program related to Communications, Media Studies, Marketing, or Graphic Design.
