Creative Services Intern

About the role#

WMUR, the ABC affiliate in Manchester, NH, is seeking a Creative Services Intern for the summer of 2026. The Creative Services department manages the branding and promotional development of the station. This internship provides an opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of how a television Creative Services department operates while building professional experience in broadcast and digital marketing.

What you'll do#

• Draft topical copy for the station, the nightly newsmagazine show Chronicle, and other special news segments.
• Observe newscasts and editing sessions to learn production workflows.
• Gain hands-on production experience by assisting with promotional and commercial shoots, both in-house and on location.
• Support the station's commitment to the community through the production of public service announcements (PSAs).
• Learn the fundamentals of writing and producing effective news topical promotions.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a degree program related to Communications, Media Studies, or Marketing.
• A desire to apply writing and communication skills within a professional broadcast environment.
• Interest in exploring the responsibilities of a Creative Services department.
