About the role#
Haworth is hiring a Product Engineering Intern for a summer program based at our corporate headquarters in Holland, Michigan. You will join a cohort of interns for a 12-week program that includes project work, mentorship, and opportunities to learn about our manufacturing processes. This is a paid, full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Perform experiments with parts and materials.
- Identify root causes of product design issues and develop potential solutions.
- Create and revise Creo CAD models.
- Build prototypes for testing.
- Collect and analyze data from test results.
- Assist with various engineering projects within the Task Seating, Ancillary, or Architectural Solutions teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Mechanical Engineering or Product Design Engineering Technology.
- Junior level status by Fall of 2027.
- Ability to work on-site in Holland, MI from May 2027 to August 2027.
- Unrestricted right to work in the United States.
- Proficiency with personal computers, spreadsheet applications, and keyboarding.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, manage deadlines, and communicate clearly.
- A GPA of 2.95 or higher is preferred.
- Experience with CAD software, specifically CREO or SolidWorks, is preferred.
- Familiarity with 3D printing, machining, or hand tools for product assembly is preferred.
- Prior employment, Haworth experience, or involvement in extracurricular activities is preferred.
