About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for a Civil Engineering student. You will work on linear infrastructure projects such as watermains and sewers. You will gain experience across the full project lifecycle, from planning and design to construction support.
What you'll do#
- Assist with preliminary and detailed design of linear infrastructure, including watermains and sewers.
- Perform hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, system modelling, and cost estimates.
- Prepare and revise technical drawings, plans, profiles, and design markups using CAD software.
- Participate in site visits to observe construction activities and collect field data.
- Assist with shop drawing reviews and construction-related design clarifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, project managers, and construction staff.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering degree program.
- Foundational skills in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Civil 3D.
- An analytical mindset with an interest in hydraulics and water conveyance infrastructure.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $26.00 - $33.00 per hour.
