About the role#
Hatch is seeking a Structural Engineering Student for a 16-month internship based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. You will join the Project Delivery Group to support engineers and technologists with design, analysis, and research. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to complex projects and gain practical experience in an office environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, design calculations, material takeoff, literature reviews, technical specifications, and reports.
- Use CAD tools for 2D drawing and 3D model reviews.
- Provide support for progress reporting and the assessment of ongoing engineering tasks.
- Interface with staff to support project needs as they arise.
What you'll need#
- You are a 3rd or 4th year student working toward a degree in Civil Engineering.
- A specific interest in structural analysis and design is required.
- Successful completion of, or current enrollment in, structural engineering courses.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- A high regard for job safety and quality work.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Extracurricular involvement and an enthusiastic, ambitious attitude.
- You must submit a transcript, official or unofficial, with your application.
