About the role#
Hatch is hiring a Hydrotechnical Engineering Student for our Thunder Bay office. You will join our project teams to support experienced engineers with technical analyses and designs related to hydrology, hydraulics, and water resources management.
What you'll do#
- Run hydrology and hydraulics analyses, calculations, and computer simulations.
- Help prepare technical reports, drawings, specifications, and correspondence.
- Assist with the development of client proposals and presentations.
- Conduct field visits to client sites as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in civil, hydrotechnical, or water resources engineering.
- Completion of at least two years of your degree program.
- Coursework, research, or work experience in hydrotechnical topics like open-channel hydraulics or statistical hydrology.
- Proficiency in GIS, AutoCad, and Microsoft software.
- Experience with hydrotechnical software such as HEC-RAS or HEC-HMS is an asset.
- A transcript is required with your application.
