About the role#
Hatch is seeking a Geotechnical or Structural Engineering student to join the Hydropower & Dams group in Saskatoon. This is a full-time position for the Winter 2027 term. You will report to the Regional Manager and provide support on local and national engineering projects.
What you'll do#
- Provide engineering support for Hydropower & Dams projects from pre-feasibility through detailed engineering.
- Assist with analyses including slope stability, seepage, and quantity estimates.
- Support geotechnical investigations, handle data processing, and write reports.
- Complete structural analysis and design calculations for concrete and structural steel.
- Assist in the production of technical drawings and specifications.
- Support senior staff with business development tasks, including the preparation of proposals.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Geotechnical or Civil/Structural Engineering at an accredited university.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- A full Class 5 driver license.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage tasks with attention to detail.

- Compensation: $26.00 to $33.00 per hour.
