About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is seeking a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient clinic. This position offers the flexibility to work with patients through both in-person visits and a secure telehealth platform. You will work as an independent contractor with the ability to set your own hours.
What you'll do#
- Perform psychological assessments, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions for various mental health conditions.
- Deliver various modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and therapeutic strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services in compliance with company policies.
- Keep up with developments in the field through ongoing professional training.
What you'll need#
- A Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or current progress toward obtaining one.
- Previous experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Tampa, Florida.
- Modality: Hybrid, with options for on-site and remote work.
- Compensation: $35 to $40 per billable hour.
- Schedule: Independent contractors determine their own hours, with office availability Monday through Thursday and telemedicine options available Friday through Sunday.
