About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is seeking a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient clinic network. This role supports patients through both in-person visits in Haines City and virtual sessions via our telehealth platform. You will work as an independent contractor, allowing you to determine your own working hours.
What you'll do#
- Perform psychological assessments, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions for various mental health conditions.
- Deliver multiple modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
- Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and coping strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all services in line with company policies.
- Pursue continuing education to stay updated on clinical advancements.
What you'll need#
- A Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or current progress toward obtaining one.
- Previous experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Haines City, Florida.
- Modality: This position offers a mix of on-site and remote work. You may work up to 50 percent via telemedicine. In-person and telehealth appointments are available Monday through Thursday, with additional telemedicine availability Friday through Sunday.
- Compensation: $35 to $40 per billable hour.
- Status: Full-time, contracted role.
