About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is hiring a Psychotherapist Intern for our outpatient clinic. This is a full-time contract position based in Fort Myers, Florida. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to treat adults, adolescents, and children. We offer a flexible schedule with options for on-site, remote, or hybrid work. You will earn between $35 and $40 per billable hour and receive group malpractice insurance along with administrative support.
What you'll do#
- Conduct psychological assessments, provide diagnoses, and deliver therapeutic interventions.
- Offer various modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment strategies.
- Work alongside psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all services provided.
- Keep up with current advancements in the field of counseling.
What you'll need#
- A Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or proof that you are in the process of obtaining one.
- Prior work experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
