About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is hiring a Psychotherapist Intern for our outpatient clinic in Clearwater, Florida. This is a full-time, paid contract position that offers a mix of on-site and remote work. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide mental health services to adults, adolescents, and children aged five and up.
What you'll do#
- Conduct psychological assessments, diagnose conditions, and carry out therapeutic interventions.
- Deliver various modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and coping strategies.
- Coordinate care with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all services provided.
- Keep your clinical skills current through ongoing professional development.
What you'll need#
- A Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Prior work experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Clearwater, Florida.
- You will have the flexibility to determine your own working hours.
- The office is open for in-person and telehealth appointments Monday through Thursday.
- Telemedicine availability is offered Friday through Sunday.
- You have the option to work 50% via telemedicine from the start of your contract.
- Compensation is set at $35 to $40 per billable hour, and the role includes group malpractice insurance and administrative support.
