About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is seeking a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient clinic. This role involves providing care to adults, adolescents, and children aged five and older. You will work as an independent contractor with the flexibility to set your own hours. We offer a mix of in-person and telehealth options, with the possibility to work 50% remotely from the start.
What you'll do#
- Conduct psychological assessments, diagnose conditions, and deliver therapeutic interventions.
- Offer various modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
- Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and therapeutic strategies.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with company policies.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with counseling advancements.
What you'll need#
- A master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or current progress toward obtaining one.
- Previous work experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Sarasota, Florida.
- Work Modality: On-site and remote options available.
- Compensation: $35 to $40 per billable hour.
- Employment Type: Full-time, contracted position.
- Schedule: Offices are open Monday through Thursday for in-person and telehealth visits, with telemedicine availability Friday through Sunday.
