About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is seeking a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient clinic. This position offers the flexibility to work as an independent contractor with a choice of working hours. You will provide care to adults, adolescents, and children aged five and older through both in-person and telehealth sessions.
What you'll do#
- Conduct psychological assessments, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions for various mental health conditions.
- Deliver psychotherapy and counseling services using different modalities.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, and healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and coping strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all services rendered in compliance with company policy.
- Keep your clinical knowledge current with advancements in the field.
What you'll need#
- A Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or documentation that you are in the process of obtaining one.
- Previous work experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Coral Gables, Florida.
- You may work on-site or remotely. You have the option to work 50% via telemedicine from the start.
- The office is open Monday through Thursday for in-person and telehealth appointments, with additional telemedicine availability Friday through Sunday.
- This is a paid, full-time contract position offering $35 to $40 per billable hour.
