About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is hiring a Psychotherapist Intern for our outpatient clinic in Bradenton. This is a full-time, paid contract position. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide care for adults, adolescents, and children aged five and up. The role offers the flexibility to work on-site or remotely, with the option to work up to 50 percent via telemedicine.
What you'll do#
- Perform psychological assessments, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions.
- Deliver various modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
- Coordinate care with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare staff.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and treatment strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all services provided.
- Keep up with current advancements in the field of counseling.
What you'll need#
- A Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or current progress toward obtaining one.
- Previous work experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Bradenton, Florida.
- Work Modality: On-site and remote.
- Compensation: $35 to $40 per billable hour.
- Schedule: As an independent contractor, you determine your own working hours. Offices are open for in-person appointments Monday through Thursday, with telemedicine availability Friday through Sunday.
