About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is hiring a Psychotherapist Intern for our outpatient clinic. This is a full-time, paid contract position. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide mental health services to adults, adolescents, and children aged five and older. We offer a flexible schedule and the option to work on-site, remotely, or in a hybrid capacity.
What you'll do#
- Perform psychological assessments, diagnoses, and therapeutic interventions.
- Deliver various modalities of psychotherapy and counseling.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and treatment strategies.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all services rendered.
- Stay updated on current advancements in the field through professional development.
What you'll need#
- A Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Previous experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: The Villages, Florida.
- Work Modality: On-site, remote, or hybrid options available.
- Compensation: $35 to $40 per billable hour.
- Schedule: As an independent contractor, you determine your own working hours. Our offices are open Monday through Thursday for in-person and telehealth visits, with additional availability for telemedicine from Friday through Sunday.
