About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is hiring a Psychotherapist Intern for our outpatient clinic in Gainesville. This role involves providing mental health services to adults, adolescents, and children aged five and older. You will work as an independent contractor with the flexibility to set your own hours. We offer a mix of on-site and remote work options.
What you'll do#
- Conduct psychological assessments, diagnose conditions, and provide therapeutic interventions.
- Deliver various psychotherapy and counseling services.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all services rendered per company policy.
- Keep up with current developments in the field through professional growth.
What you'll need#
- A master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or the status of being in the process of obtaining one.
- Prior work experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Gainesville, Florida.
- Work is available both on-site and remotely.
- The role is paid at a rate of $35 to $40 per billable hour.
- You will have access to group malpractice insurance and administrative support.
