About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care provides outpatient mental health services for children, adolescents, and adults. This internship role involves providing direct care for patients with various mental health conditions. You will work as an independent contractor with the flexibility to set your own hours. The office is open Monday through Thursday for in-person and telehealth appointments, with additional telemedicine availability Friday through Sunday. You may choose to work up to 50% remotely from the start of your employment.
What you'll do#
- Perform psychological assessments, diagnoses, and therapeutic interventions.
- Deliver various modalities of psychotherapy and counseling.
- Work alongside psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and coping strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services in line with company policies.
- Pursue continuing education to stay current with counseling developments.
What you'll need#
- A Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or evidence that you are in the process of obtaining one.
- Prior experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is based in West Palm Beach, Florida.
- Work is performed on-site and remotely.
- This is a paid, full-time contract position.
- Compensation is $35 to $40 per billable hour.
- The role includes group malpractice insurance and administrative support.
