About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is hiring a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient clinics. This position offers a flexible schedule for independent contractors, allowing you to manage your own working hours. You will work with adults, adolescents, and children aged five and older. We provide full administrative support and use current digital technology to assist in your clinical work. This role is paid at a rate of $35 to $40 per billable hour and includes group malpractice insurance.
What you'll do#
- Perform psychological assessments, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions.
- Deliver various modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and coping strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all services provided.
- Keep up with new developments in the field of counseling.
What you'll need#
- A master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license, or proof that you are in the process of obtaining one.
- Previous experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Ocala, Florida.
- You may work on-site at our offices or remotely via our telehealth platform.
- Offices are open for in-person and telehealth visits Monday through Thursday.
- Telemedicine work is available Friday through Sunday.
- You have the option to work up to 50% remotely from the start of your employment.
