About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is hiring a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient clinics. This position offers a mix of in-person and remote work. You will support patients aged five and older by providing clinical care and therapeutic interventions. This is a full-time contract role with a focus on delivering individualized care.
What you'll do#
- Conduct psychological assessments, determine diagnoses, and lead therapeutic interventions.
- Deliver various psychotherapy and counseling services to patients.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all services rendered.
- Keep up with current advancements in the field through professional development.
What you'll need#
- A master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or documentation that you are in the process of obtaining one.
- Previous work experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Winter Garden, Florida.
- Modality: This role is on-site and remote.
- Schedule: As an independent contractor, you determine your working hours. Offices are open Monday through Thursday for in-person and telehealth visits, with additional telemedicine availability Friday through Sunday. You have the option to work 50% remote from the start.
