About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is hiring a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient clinic network. This role involves providing care to adults, adolescents, and children aged five and older. You will work as an independent contractor with the flexibility to set your own hours. We offer a mix of on-site and remote work options.
What you'll do#
- Perform psychological assessments, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions.
- Deliver various psychotherapy and counseling services.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and strategies.
- Document all services rendered according to company policies.
- Keep up with current advancements in the field through professional development.
What you'll need#
- A Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or current progress toward obtaining one.
- Previous work experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
- Work modality: On-site and remote options available.
- Compensation: $35 to $40 per billable hour.
- Schedule: Offices are open Monday through Thursday for in-person and telehealth. Telemedicine options are available Friday through Sunday.
