About the role#
The Marketing team at Harbor Group Management Company manages how the firm connects with team members, residents, and partners. This internship offers hands-on experience in corporate marketing, branding, and social media. You will own real projects, build a portfolio of work, and present your contributions to senior leadership at the end of the term.
What you'll do#
- Manage the registration tracker for the Annual Leadership Conference and track group travel booking statuses.
- Support awards administration, manage sponsor materials, and update the event intranet page.
- Draft registration reminders and pre-conference materials.
- Brainstorm conference social contests and support production efforts.
- Design and execute an original organic social media campaign and create supporting graphics.
- Draft and review captions for the monthly content calendar.
- Shadow the acquisition and disposition process and research new acquisitions for social announcements.
- Visit communities to document signage and learn photo capture best practices.
- Conduct competitor and peer brand scans and monitor reputation across review sites.
- Track multifamily industry trends and assist with new business proposals.
- Draft internal newsletter posts and new hire announcements.
- Maintain and organize the brand photo and logo asset library.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited 4-year degree program, entering junior or senior standing.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.
- One year of customer service work experience.
- Strong writing and communication skills with computer proficiency.
- Ability to maintain professional conduct, punctuality, and attendance.
- Initiative to stay engaged and ability to work well with peers.
- Interest in marketing, communications, social media, or brand management.

- Location: Norfolk, Virginia.
- Term: 10-week commitment from June through August 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
- Travel: Willingness to travel for Kick-Off and Capstone events is required.
