About the role#
As a co-op in the OTC Product Development team, you will contribute to the design and testing of healthcare products at our global R&D center in Richmond, Virginia. You will work alongside experienced scientists to develop drug products across various forms, including tablets, liquids, sprays, creams, and gels. This role supports iconic brands such as Advil, Flonase, and Panadol.
What you'll do#
- Gain hands-on experience supporting pharmaceutical product development projects.
- Support the development and testing of oral, topical, and nasal consumer healthcare products.
- Conduct laboratory experiments and analyze scientific data.
- Partner with scientists to solve formulation challenges.
- Contribute to innovation projects focused on improving consumer experiences.
- Share project results and recommendations with the broader team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
- Laboratory experience from coursework, research, or internships.
- Experience collecting and analyzing experimental data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 6 months starting in January 2027.
- Strong initiative, effective communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a laboratory environment.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for future sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role based in Richmond, Virginia.
- You must be available to work on-site 4-5 days per week.
- This is a paid, full-time position for the Winter 2027 term.
