About the role#
This is a 12-week paid internship program at Burns & Wilcox. You will join a specialty underwriting team focused on commercial, personal, or professional insurance lines. You will work 40 hours per week in an on-site office setting.
What you'll do#
- Participate in agent marketing calls and sit in on client meetings.
- Assist with insurance policy renewals.
- Manage data for new business and renewals using Microsoft Excel.
- Evaluate which programs or markets best fit the needs of agency clients.
- Communicate policy changes and loss notices.
- Collaborate with senior leaders on special projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program at an accredited university.
- A major in Risk Management and Insurance, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date in December 2027 or May 2028.
- Technical skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
