About the role#
This is a 12-week paid internship program based in Farmington Hills, Michigan. You will work 40 hours per week on-site within our specialty underwriting teams. The role focuses on building business acumen and communication skills through hands-on experience in commercial, personal, or professional insurance lines.
What you'll do#
- Participate in agent marketing calls and sit in on client meetings.
- Handle insurance policy renewals.
- Track new business and renewals using Microsoft Excel.
- Identify the best programs or markets to meet agency client needs.
- Communicate loss notices and policy changes.
- Collaborate with senior leaders on special projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate at an accredited university.
- A major in Risk Management and Insurance (preferred), Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date in December 2027 or May 2028.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
