About the role#
This is a 12-week, full-time paid internship program based in Chicago. You will work on-site with a specialty underwriting team focused on commercial, personal, or professional lines of insurance. The role provides exposure to executive leadership and hands-on experience in the specialty insurance industry.
What you'll do#
- Participate in agent marketing calls and attend client meetings.
- Manage insurance policy renewals.
- Update new business and renewal records using Microsoft Excel.
- Evaluate programs and markets to match the needs of agency clients.
- Communicate loss notices and policy changes.
- Collaborate with senior leaders on special projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate at an accredited university.
- Pursuit of a degree in Risk Management and Insurance, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Expected graduation in December 2027 or May 2028.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
