About the role#
This is a 12-week paid internship program at Burns & Wilcox. You will join one of our specialty underwriting teams, focusing on commercial, personal, or professional lines of insurance. The role provides an opportunity to build business acumen and communication skills while working alongside senior leadership.
What you'll do#
- Participate in agent marketing calls and sit in on client meetings.
- Help manage insurance policy renewals.
- Track new business and renewals using Microsoft Excel.
- Evaluate which programs or markets best fit the needs of agency clients.
- Communicate loss notices and policy updates.
- Collaborate with senior leaders on special projects.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as an undergraduate at an accredited university.
- A degree path in Risk Management and Insurance, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- An expected graduation date in December 2027 or May 2028.
- Technical skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.

- This role is based in Scottsdale, Arizona.
- The position is on-site, full-time at 40 hours per week.
- The internship takes place during Summer 2027.
