About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in agronomy operations at AgVantage FS. You will work under the direction of location management to learn the foundation of the GROWMARK System and the agriculture industry. The role involves completing an operational project to improve business efficiencies while gaining practical skills for a future career in agriculture.
What you'll do#
- Assist with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
- Visit FS locations and customers to build professional relationships.
- Operate field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology.
- Apply crop nutrition and crop protection products.
- Gain experience with ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
- Participate in all program activities, including weekly reporting and a required orientation event in Bloomington, IL.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree or certification program at a community college, technical college, or university.
- Good academic standing at the start of the internship.
- A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and at elevated heights.
- Ability and willingness to participate in all required training.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Location: Garner, Iowa.
- Term: Winter 2027 or Summer 2027.
- Commitment: Full-time, minimum of 9 to 10 weeks.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
