About the role#
The Finance Intern supports the Finance Department by assisting with financial reporting, budgeting, data analysis, and administrative projects. This role provides hands-on experience in healthcare finance, offering exposure to hospital operations, accounting processes, and financial decision-making.
What you'll do#
- Assist with preparing financial reports, spreadsheets, and budget analyses.
- Support month-end and year-end financial activities.
- Review and organize financial data for accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct research and analyze trends to support departmental initiatives.
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other finance-related projects.
- Collaborate with team members on special projects and process improvements.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and patient-related information.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Previous internship, coursework, or experience in finance, accounting, or healthcare administration is preferred.
- Interest in healthcare finance and hospital operations.
