About the role#
Griffin Hospital is hiring a Finance Intern to support the Finance Department. You will gain hands-on experience in healthcare finance, accounting processes, and financial decision-making while working alongside experienced professionals.
What you'll do#
- Prepare financial reports, spreadsheets, and budget analyses.
- Support month-end and year-end financial activities.
- Review and organize financial data for accuracy and compliance.
- Research and analyze trends to support departmental initiatives.
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other finance projects.
- Collaborate on special projects and process improvements.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and patient information.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Interest in healthcare finance and hospital operations is preferred, as is previous coursework or experience in these areas.
