    About the role#

    Greenwich Country Day School is seeking a Social Sciences Fellow for Grades 9-12 to begin in the Fall of 2027. This full-time, on-site position offers the opportunity to work alongside master teachers in 9th and 10th grade interdisciplinary humanities programs. Fellows will eventually co-teach and design specialized electives for 11th and 12th grade students. You will join a cohort of new teachers and receive mentorship while collaborating with the broader Upper School faculty.

    What you'll do#

    • Provide instruction in History or English for assigned grade levels.
    • Partner with mentor teachers to deliver lessons.
    • Work with advisors, learning specialists, and the school psychologist to support student learning needs.
    • Track student progress and prepare written and verbal assessment reports.
    • Maintain regular communication with parents.
    • Collaborate with grade-level teams and interdisciplinary faculty.
    • Supervise students during arrival, dismissal, lunch, and recess.
    • Participate in school life by coaching sports, advising clubs, and covering classes as needed.

    What you'll need#

    • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree, with a preference for majors in History or English.
    • An entrepreneurial mindset to help build programs beyond their current scope.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • A commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive school community.
    • A willingness to take on multiple roles within the division.
