About the role#
The Ministry Intern supports Junior High and High School students across six campuses. You will work under the leadership of the Campus Pastor and the Student Ministry Pastor to help the ministry grow. This role is on-site and full-time.
What you'll do#
- Provide support and encouragement to the Student Ministry Team.
- Help create a collaborative environment for staff and volunteers.
- Participate in regular staff meetings and attend scheduled internship meetings.
- Understand and share the ministry vision and purpose.
- Recruit and train volunteers to support ministry goals.
- Assist in building relationships with parents and adults to involve them in the ministry.
- Provide organizational and logistical support for events and activities.
- Meet with students for discipleship and share your faith with students and adults.
- Follow up with first-time guests and students who have been absent.
- Coordinate plans for Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights.
- Speak on Sundays and Wednesdays when requested.
- Connect with volunteers to equip them for their work.
- Work with the Global Student Ministry Team to support all campuses.
What you'll need#
- A commitment to lead by example in character and faith.
- A genuine love and care for people.
- Academic background in Psychology, Sociology, History, or Philosophy is preferred.
